About Scott Edwards
Scott Edwards has worked in a variety of capacities at Amnesty International since 2006. He has written and consulted extensively on complex humanitarian crises, armed conflict, and human rights compliance monitoring. He completed his doctoral work in Political Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and his dissertation work advanced complexity modelling for prediction of forced displacement. Previous posts at AI include Director of the Science for Human Rights Program, Director of the Crisis Response Unit at AI-USA, and the Africa Advocacy Director for AI-USA. He is a Professorial Lecturer at George Washington University’s Elliot School of International Affairs.
